About Us
P L Mulligan Family Funeral Directors is a family business offering a professional and sympathetic service to bereaved families in the local community. Their staff will guide you through this difficult time in a professional and understanding manner so your loved one’s funeral is carried out to your expectations.
When arranging your loved one’s funeral they will make you aware of all the choices you have. These include deciding whether you’d prefer cremation or a burial, the type of casket or coffin and whether you prefer a traditional black motor hearse, a horse drawn carriage or alternative vehicle like a lorry or motorcycle.
On the day of the funeral their staff will be in attendance to take care of you and your loved ones. Their funeral vehicles consist of a modern 2017 fleet of Jaguar XJ hearses and limousines.
In addition to the funeral service P L Mulligan Family Funeral Directors can also provide memorials and headstones, and advise you on pre-paid funeral plans. They also have a full repatriation service which includes transportation of your loved one, choice of coffin or casket and completion of all of the necessary paperwork.
Their funeral home is located in Bexleyheath town centre on the Broadway and is open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm, with a 24-hour telephone service. Call P L Mulligan Family Funeral Directors now to find out more about the services they provide and begin making funeral arrangements for your loved one.
What Families Say
AI SummaryMany families emphasise the professionalism and care they experienced throughout the funeral planning process and on the day itself. Several describe how staff members guided them patiently through each step, explained options clearly, and made themselves available to answer questions, which families found particularly valuable when organising a funeral for the first time or during times of overwhelming grief.
Families frequently mention the quality of communication and personal attention they received, with many noting that staff followed up on requests, remained responsive, and treated them with genuine kindness rather than simply going through procedures. Several describe feeling that nothing was too much trouble and that staff accommodated individual wishes and preferences with flexibility.
Many families comment on how the funeral day itself was handled with dignity and respect, with careful attention to details both large and small. A number observe that the experience, though sad, felt organised and meaningful, and that staff were present and supportive in ways that allowed families to focus on saying goodbye rather than worrying about logistics.

Absolutely superb care and attention every step of the way for our dear Mum. The funeral was faultless, from us being able to walk behind Mum's coffin when leaving her house, to the family carrying her into the chapel. It made a difficult day into a very special day for our special Mum. Thank you to everyone Karen & Lisa
