A.W. Lymn’s Bottesford funeral home, based at William Roberts House on the High Street, opened in May 2024 as the company’s first branch in Leicestershire. The premises were previously home to estate agents Richard Watkinson and have been fully refurbished to include modern, state-of-the-art facilities, such as a private arranging room and a peaceful Chapel of Rest.
The branch is managed by Funeral Arranger Andy McFeeters, who brings energy, empathy and life experience to his role following a career in tennis coaching. Andy is proud to uphold A.W. Lymn’s century-long tradition of compassionate and professional funeral care.
The funeral home continues the legacy of Marion Roberts, who served the Bottesford and Vale of Belvoir community for over 30 years. After taking over from her father-in-law, the well-known local builder and funeral director Bill Roberts, Marion provided dedicated care until her retirement in 2020. Rather than close the doors, she chose to pass on the William Roberts name, with her blessing, first to M.A. Mills Funeral Service and now to A.W. Lymn.

We couldn't praise the staff anymore. They were compassionate, caring, respectful understanding and went the extra mile to ensure all details were completed for a beautiful funeral. Able to contact them with any queries put of standard hours and accommodated us. Nothing ever seemed to be too much for them, no matter how minor the query was. Andy was extremely well organised, knowledgeable and helpful in organising the funeral of my partner Richard.
He was very patient and kind in a very painful situation.
The team at the crematorium and church were excellent also.

In such dreadful circumstances and such a sudden need for services Andy couldn’t have been more kind, thoughtful, helpful, he just simply provided the best support that I could have wished for albeit I’d have preferred not to need his services at all. Andy was both professional and knowledgeable in all aspects to do with the funeral arrangements for my Mum.
I dealt with Andy mainly but I know from all my family, they were so pleased we asked Andy at AWLymm to deal with this. He made a most difficult time seem
easy as he led me through the procedure, which was made more difficult because my Mother had only been moved to the latest Care Home two days prior to her death. As such the Coroner and Medical Examiner were both involved making this a lengthy process. I would also like to thank Edward, the Funeral Director for calming the nerves of the six Grandchildren as he instructed them on being ‘Bearers’ and for his help on the day.
