Discreet Cremation = £1,495.00 (Inc. all fees)

Direct Cremation = £1995.00 (Inc. all fees)

Discreet Cremation

A discreet cremation is the most economical type of funeral available and covers the fundamental elements only.
There is no ceremonial service and mourners do not attend the crematorium chapel.
The deceased will be brought into our care at our mortuary facilities in Dover, laid to rest in a basic coffin and transferred to a local crematorium by means of a discreet private ambulance at a date and time selected by us as soon as the statutory paperwork has been completed.
We will collect the ashes on the clients behalf if required.

Direct Cremation

A direct cremation is much like the discreet cremation, however it incorporates certain traditional elements.
There is no ceremonial service and mourners do not attend at the crematorium chapel, however we will use our traditional hearse to transfer the deceased to the crematorium accompanied by the funeral director and funeral operatives. The coffin will be carried on shoulders in the usual dignified manner.
You will be informed of the date and time.
Coffin upgrades are available at an additional cost.
You may wish to be present within the grounds of the crematorium to witness the coffin entering the chapel.
A webcast streaming service is also available at an additional cost for those who wish to witness the committal.

Please note that unlike other direct cremation providers, we operate locally and only use local crematoriums. We also facilitate a one-off chapel visit to view the deceased if desired.

Originally established in 1948 by Walter John Farrier in Dover, W. J. Farrier & Son Ltd, Folkestone, was founded when the Farrier family acquired Thomas Family Undertakers in Folkestone after the previous owner passed away. Now in the third generation of family members, the team of professional, considerate staff are proud to care for your loved one and help you with every step of arranging a funeral.

Whether your loved one wanted a traditional religious funeral or a contemporary celebration of life, W. J. Farrier & Son can help you plan the perfect farewell. You can choose from a range of coffins, including traditional hardwood, cardboard, wicker and bespoke designs. W. J. Farrier & Son has its own fleet of Daimler hearses and limousines, and can also arrange for bespoke transport such as horse-drawn hearses and motorbike hearses if you wish for something different

The guys were all very professional and very understanding. It was my first ever funeral, and it was for my mother :(. Very hard times indeed and felt very lost, overwhelmed and confused. Chris made me feel so at ease and made the whole thing stress free. He was so so lovely. I had so many questions as days went on and he was always happy to answer my questions. He was so supportive on the day, I couldn’t have done it without him. The team all looked very smart and were very respectful too. Couldn’t ask for a nicer funeral arrangement.
