Established in 1999 by Jonathan Terry, who has been dedicated to the funeral profession since 1985, they have built a solid reputation for delivering personal and excellent service to families throughout Southampton and beyond.
Over the years, Jonathan Terry have continuously reinvested in their business to ensure that they offer the best possible support to their families.
In 2013, they embarked on a journey of redesign and refurbishment of their Peartree Avenue premises, culminating in the completion of the project in 2014.
A significant milestone in their journey came in December 2018 when they acquired 103 Peartree Avenue and launched the White Lily Centre, a bereavement centre offering counselling services to all. The White Lily Centre stands as a symbol of their commitment to supporting families beyond the funeral itself.
In May 2022, their services were further enhanced with the introduction of a new fleet of Mercedes hearses and limousines, ensuring that every aspect of your loved one's final journey is conducted with the utmost care and professionalism.

Opened in 1998, their Peartree Avenue funeral home is located at the junction of Gainsford Road and offers a private chapel of rest along with free parking and full disabled access. Their opening times are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but they are available 24-hours a day by telephone.

Very professional service, my requirements were fully met. My husband died suddenly abroad and the arranging of the repatriation had been quite traumatic but Jonathan made making the funeral arrangements straightforward. Sadly we have had to use Jonathan Terry’s excellent services twice this year & we can not thank them enough for their care & compassion under very difficult circumstances. They took care of everything for us & we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Hopefully we won’t need to but we would never use anyone else. Highly recommend them.

From my first phone call to Jonathan Terry funeral directors and still now the service we have received has been impeccable. The staff are very professional, patient, kind, considerate and dignified. Ed has been extremely supportive helping through all the emotion to ensure that our wishes were achieved. The funeral service was extremely well organised and again the support for the family was forefront.

We were very pleased with all the arrangements organised by Jonathan Terry. They were very kind and sympathetic and professional throughout. The cortège was beautifully done so that a sad situation was carried out in a way that was all I hoped for, for my husbands last journey. I would recommend this independent funeral directors as I can’t speak too highly of them.

The support we received was amazing, keeping gently in touch with us throughout the time leading up to my dad’s funeral, then delivered all my dad’s wishes perfectly on the day, even managing to find the steam train background noise. The order of service was beautifully printed, we were not expecting them to be so lovely with subtle connections again to steam trains.
Thank you for making a very difficult day become a day we can remember with some sense of fondness.

In what must be the most hardest, toughest, saddest and worst time I've had in my life losing such a much loved partner, Dave, these very professional, caring and kind people made the whole stage a seamless and stress free experience. They helped me to bring my Dave home to be with me and our much loved dog. This meant so much. Such care and attention was given to Dave. So much love and individual attention given to make sure our wishes were fulfilled and we felt personally cared for. So thank you to all the fantastic team at Peartree Avenue Office. Thank you.
