Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

I have to say that I found the whole experience wonderful.
The first contact I had with Co-op Cumbernauld Funeralcare was that first phone call from Audrey who set the tone right from the beginning. She came across as caring, patient and very professional - I knew I was in good hands right from that first contact and this experience continued as other members of the team lead me and the family through the whole arrangement process.
Audrey scheduled a meeting for myself and another family member and went through the arranging process helping us to choose and advising us on options regarding the Service and Cemetery.
On the day, everything went smoothly. Neil the funeral director and Lyndsay guided us through the day from Parlour to Cemetery and onto the reception hotel in a seamless and dignified way and with their attention to detail the family felt they were in very good hands throughout.
And of course, to top all this the Celebrant Maureen McAtee was simply wonderful.
The family highly recommend Cumbernauld Funeralcare for making Dad’s farewell day a fitting send-off - a day of fond memories without the stress.
