From our first contact with the Co op when two of their staff came to collect our relatives body from the house right through to discussions about the organisation of the funeral the service was first class.

From the outset, Yvonne, the funeral director, was sympathetic and sensitive to our needs. She was professional and reassuring in her handling of a quite difficult situation where several problems needed to be resolved. Unfortunately the FD never introduced herself (I had to ask her name whilst I was filling in the paperwork). She also never offered her condolences and appeared not to know for certain whose funeral we were there to arrange ("is it your mum?"). I know the difficulties involved in being an FD as I done the job previously. Nice enough manner but could show more empathy.

I was very impressed with the compassion shown in dealing with my uncles direct cremation. 
The colleague made it very easy to organise and they kept me updated every step of the way.

The staff were all fantastic from the two men who came to collect mum from the house after she died to Pauline who advised and made all the funeral arrangements. To the funeral director who supported us through the funeral on the day. They made what is a difficult and upsetting time so much easier, I can’t thank them enough.

A little over zealous with the amount of calls to check details after everything was organised. In saying this though a tiny part of the service was missing. It had been requested a photo be displayed on the overhead screens but this didn't happen. Overall the care & ease of making the arrangements & on the day was very good.

Alistair and the staff at Dunfermline Cooperative Funeral Services were excellent. Last year I used them for my dad and now my mum. The care and attention to my every wish was catered for and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend there services as my parents were treated with respect and dignity.

My brothers, myself and extended family qwee extremely supportive and kind from the first contact, particularly during ths day we said farewell to our dad and even when I spoke to the Funeral Director two days afterwards.

It appeared to be a difficult situation between the coroners in England and the Co-op in Scotland but hopefully it has equipped everyone to benefit an advise people in similar circumstances in future.
