This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

Easy to organise. It was a prepaid plan, so more or less had taken care of itself. The staff where helpful when required . One blip was our flowers . One item had been left with another families flowers. We did spot it before we left . Tags where on all our flowers, so maybe check for tags. Apart from that. No problems

From start to finish our Funeral Director Angela at Gilmerton made this very stressful time for us easier. The instructions were comprehensive and the information clear and concise. Stuart at the funeral service had also great empathy. I felt I was with friends helping me through the trauma I felt losing my mum. I highly recommend their excellent service.

Stewart and Angela were excellent throughout the whole process. I was walked through everything and it was all explained to me clearly enough so I wasn’t left second guessing things.
It never felt like this was just a job for them, they listened to me, never rushed me and it felt like they cared which was amazing. Even right down to the little details they had me covered.
I can’t thank them enough, I was miles from home with no support system but they helped make this easier and made it a little less stressful.
My mother was in the best hands and for that I’m truly thankful.

As I lost both mum and dad within 17 days of each other the service Angela gave in such a stressful situation could not have been any better. Her gentle guidence through the whole process made things much easier and I knew I could talk to her at any time to clarify anything I had forgotten or was unsure of. She was reassuring clear and compassionate at a time when I needed it most. Totaly excellent service.
