Christophers' Family Funerals in Newton Abbot, Devon, have served the local community with funeral arrangements and expert guidance for over 175 years. The Christophers are now in their sixth generation in the funeral profession and are able to help with every aspect of arranging your loved one's funeral.
Funeral services of all religious faiths and denominations are welcome, as are non-religious and humanist celebrations of life. Christophers' are happy to help in arranging traditional burials, woodland and green burials as well as cremations and low cost funerals to fit any budget.
There is a wide variety of coffins, caskets and urns to choose from, ranging from solid hardwoods and veneers through to environmentally friendly materials including wicker, bamboo and cardboard. The choice of funeral transport ranges from a modern hearse and limousines, to horse-drawn and motorcycle hearses.
Christophers' Family Funerals have their own hall in Newton Abbot which can accommodate up to 60 people and they will happily arrange a service there to suit any style or length you might want for your loved one.
The Newton Abbot funeral home is open from 9am to 2pm with 24 hour a day support available via telephone. There is a comfortable chapel of rest where you can spend time with your loved one in peace, and meeting rooms where you can discuss funeral arrangements in private. Home visits are available by appointment.

I couldn’t have asked for a better service from Christopher’s Family funerals. They were sensitive, accommodating, patient and professional throughout the whole process of my Dad’s passing and funeral. They had an excellent sound system which we used in the church. They co-ordinated everything well, managing different elements of the service some in Devon and some where we had the funeral in Hampshire. The order of service looked great and they were competitively priced. They responded quickly to emails. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

They were absolutely great. Along with Charles Russell, they helped us every step of the way, at was a painful and distressing time, to put together a service that was exactly right for our son. Held in their Homeland Hall it was intimate and just the right size for our family and friends.
I would definitely recommend them.

From our family’s very first contact with Christophers we were impressed by the support, guidance and gentle leadership that Tom provided at the time my father’s death. He listened carefully to our wishes and then proposed options to achieve them. This included introducing us to a celebrant, Rachel Henderson, who demonstrated the most amazing talent in capturing the essence of my father and his life. Throughout the entire time Tom and his team have managed the details, communicated with us clearly and delivered the most ‘amazing’ (my mother’s word) and joyful family funeral service – not something we could have believed possible. The outcome for our family are wonderful memories of a wonderful man, celebrated in the way we had hope for. Our heartfelt thanks to Tom, Damien and Rachel – we consider you a trusted part of our family.

We are very pleased to recommend Christophers Family Funerals who arranged my later mothers funeral at our first meeting we received that personal touch you only get from a local independent undertaker.
A professional in every way, arrangement details the obituary in the paper the flowers . A Church Service two Limousines arranging the wake at the local village hall and even replacing the headstone afterwards
