JF Clarke & Son have buried both of my parents. They deserve a comfortable five-star review. I am grateful for the kindness and professionalism of Lindsey and Greg who helped my Mum's funeral take place very smoothly in January 2026. They have real attention to detail and I felt confident that should anything unexpected have taken place, they would have been able to pivot and adjust to deal with it immediately.
Lindsey provided kind and knowledgeable support throughout which I found reassuring and useful. Greg helped me make the decisions I needed to make in a clear and straightforward way. I was grateful that their record keeping is good because we were able to reference my dad's funeral from six years ago to make sure that we were choosing for my mum, what she had chosen for my dad.
On the day, Greg and his team did a lovely job in the pouring rain of Storm Goretti. They were smart, well-turned out and patient, despite the challenging conditions.
I appreciated the diplomatic and generous way that the team handled some slightly challenging and unexpected requests from my wider family. The overall impression was that they have dealt with most things and there is little to surprise them.
I thought that the service offered good and fair value for money and I also appreciated the cosy and calm office space which provided an oasis of support during a really terrible time.
They never rushed me or made me or my family feel pressured and were consistently informative and helpful. JF Clarke & Son would be my first choice and my best recommendation.

We found the whole experience from initially discussing my aunt's funeral to the day of the funeral to be caring and sympathetic to our wishes. We couldn't have asked for a better send off for her. We would highly recommend you to any who ask.

The funeral arrangements for my late husband were excellent from start to finish with compassion and understanding at such a sad and difficult time.
Everybody involved were very professional and dealt with every aspect of the arrangements which lifted the burden off of me and my family.
A thank you does not really express all their attention to every detail, as I said before, at such a difficult time.
I would definitely recommend them in the future to anyone who sadly would require their services.

I contacted J F Clarke and Son after the sad passing of my husband. Greg came out to see us and discuss arranging the funeral. Greg listened and gave us time to talk and think about what we wanted. My husband had a Jazz Band and we wanted to give him a send off with band members past and present leading the hearse. Greg was able to reassure us that this could be done.
We were kept updated on when my husband was bought back to the Chapel of Rest and Greg made arrangements for the Church Minister to contact us.
Greg along with Lyndsey in the office worked with us on the Order of Service ensuring that we got what we wanted printed.
The Funeral went smoothly on the day and everyone said what a lovely service it was.
As a family we are very pleased that we chose J F Clarke and Son.
