About Us
Whitley Bay Cemetery and Crematorium is a crematorium in North Tyneside, (within Whitley Bay Cemetery near the turning for St. Mary’s Island.The crematorium offers cremations that last 45 minutes, giving families a full thirty minutes inside the chapel. There is not a separate entrance and exit so you shoud be aware that mourners are asked to move away from the chapel swiftly following the service, so they don't impact on other funerals.
Services can be arranged from Monday to Friday, but there may be Saturdays available for an extra cost. It may also be possible to book a longer service, again with an additional fee. Longer service times are also dependent on other bookings on the day of the funeral.
The crematorium is open 9am to 5pm from November to March, and 9am to 7pm from April to October.
