I thoroughly recommend Wallace Stuart Funeral Directors. I have arranged one funeral with these ladies for my father and attended one woodland funeral which they organised. Both Lel and Sarah are gentle understanding people who will do their best to minimise the stress of arranging a funeral at a difficult emotional time. I found that they would give that extra effort to reliably meet the wishes of my mother and I for my father's funeral.

Hi Sarah, i’am sorry it’s taken me so long to leave a review, I couldn’t find the words to describe just how wonderful you and Ali Robbins were, in handling the funeral for my beloved Jan who left me so suddenly, Jan like her mum, was very much into needle work and crafts, and it had to be perfect, and like you there wasn’t a stitch out of place, the sheer professionalism, the attention to detail, the compassion, the communication, and the love and friendship, thankyou Les Thomas

Sarah was an absolute rock and delivered outstanding attention to detail throughout the difficult time of organising my Father in law's funeral. The fees were realistic, much more reasonable than other local firms, and we could pick and choose what we wanted. All the legal paperwork was clearly explained and Sarah dealt with the hospital and crematorium in Yeovil in a very professional manner. No request was too small, the orders of service were very professional, the advice was all correct and to the point and their presence on the day was unobtrusive and a great support to us all. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Wallace Stuart Lady Funeral Directors.

Really excellent, personal service. Lel looked after the whole family and guided us through the whole process with great compassion. On the day of the funeral the whole team were professional, compassionate and Lel was extremely attentive to John's wife, which was very much appreciated. A very difficult day made easier by the Wallace & Stuart team. Would highly recommend them.

I found the ladies to be the most helpful and caring people, they where considerate and caring.

Nothing I asked for was to much trouble, and being from Australia to bury my only Sister I was quite demanding in what I wanted for her.

In my mind a funeral ran what I thought was a normal course. But after talking with Lel the family came to a joint and unique
ceremony which gave everyone a real feeling of Douglas
Cost is always a concern and there are things that until you have the talk with the undertaker you may not be aware of but do not detract from the over all event and can reduce financial anxiety

In our time of greatest sorrow and sense of loss, we needed a funeral director who could give us support and guidance whilst at the same time treating us with compassion and gentleness. Sarah and her team were just that. She listened to us and our wishes and helped us to craft Mum's service and carry out her wishes. We particularly chose a firm of lady undertakers and we were so pleased with the reverence and care shown at every stage of the process leading up to the burial. Lel & Sarah are fantastic ladies, they made me & my family welcome, couldn’t do enough for us and was very accommodating. My Nans funeral was a very pleasent event and she would have been so proud to have known that horses had taken her to the church and cemetery. Lel went well beyond the call of duty in handling a sensitive situation involving idiotic and undignified behaviour by a family member. 
The body was collected very quickly, and the whole process- Not totally conventional- was handled calmly and without any pressure to add ‘extras’ to the deal. Highly recommended.

Without doubt these ladies are the very best funeral directors I have ever had to use . From the initial time when they met mum to discuss her instructions for after her passing to her actual passing, they treated her with respect, empathy, kindness and a deep understand of her requests. They spent time to get to know her not just as an ninety year old lady, but as an individual who's life's experiences gave her many memories and relevant stories that they listened to. I would highly recommend them to anyone one who finds themselves needing a funeral service.

Losing our Mum was never going to be easy.

It was a struggle to comprehend the funeral arrangements whilst dealing with your loss and the grief of the other Family members around us.

The Ladies at Wallace Stuart were fantastic and so professional,.
They spoke to us in a way we could understand all that was required of us and what each step taken would be. They arranged Mums collection right through to the internment.
The service was arranged through their representative she spoke with us all at length about who Mum was and what she would have wanted and ultimately how we as a family felt the day should proceed.
Many well wishers who came to say farewell said that it was probably the nicest service they had ever attended and a few weren't even aware that they could have a celebrant service.

Wallace Stuart are professional, courteous and unhurried in there approach to dealing with the loss of a loved one.

We would recommend their services without hesitation.
