A wee memory of Terry…..Between 1978–1980 was the two years that Joan ( my wife ) spent in Nottingham before moving back to Scotland. During this time on one particular occasion Joan was in the house on her own when she heard a noise coming from upstairs. On phoning through to Terry’s house he came straight up to our house and when Joan opened the door Terry stood there with a sword in hand barged straight by her and up the stairs!! That must have been a sight to behold! Rest in peace BIG man !!

  • “Grandads are there to help children get into the mischief they hadn’t thought of yet” and nothing could be truer of you grandad! Also you made me realise from an early age your garage was out of bounds, and that nobody would be clearing it out as it was “ all good stuff”. And I agree, the Zulu mask you had hanging on the wall in there completely authentic. Only the best grandads get promoted to great grandad …. I’ll make sure he knows all about you x x
