In loving memory of Marian Jones who sadly passed away on 23rd February 2022 at home with her loving husband and family.

Marian was a loving Wife to John, Mother to her twin boys, Richard and Gareth, Mother-in-law to Jacqueline and Zoe and Nainee to her 4 grandchildren, Megan, Ben, Harry and Ollie. Marian was a teacher on the Island from 1970-1997 when she retired. She taught at Cheyne, St. George’s and for the most part Danley School, a job that she loved and spoke fondly about well into her retirement. Marian and John were fortunate to have traveled around the world during their retirement making many memories which they would share with their family.

Sadly Marian suffered 2 strokes, the second of which was a severe one which took away her mobility and sadly she went on to develop vascular dementia. It is with a thankful heart that Marian was still aware of who the members of her family were, which we hope towards the end would have been of some comfort for her!

Marian will be missed terribly and not a day will go by when she isn’t in our hearts and thoughts xx

The family have decided that it will only be flowers from immediate family. If you would like to make a donation please see above, thank you!

Sending our heartfelt condolences to all the family but especially to Mr Jones, Gareth and Richard. I remember Mrs Jones from my days at Danley. She was a such a fabulous teacher and loved by everyone. Meeting Gareth and Richard at what was then, Sheppey Comp, and remaining friends ever since, I heard many stories about this special lady that was their Mum and whom I met again in recent years at the boys’ milestone birthday celebrations. It was clear then that she had such a strong influence on the men they are today. So sorry for your loss x
