We have such happy memories of our cousin Mike, his love of nature and his quiet, friendly approach. Whether on the boat, walks or welcoming us to his home with Ann, he was caring and looked after others. He will be very sadly missed by us all

Hello to the Piggott family,

Sadly, we will not be able to attend Mick's funeral and I have passed our apologies to brother Dave. Mick, Dave and myself grew up together in Gunthorpe and were firm friends for many years and Mick was an usher at Pauline and my wedding in Brixworth, Northamptonshire in 1970 but after that when we moved around a great deal we were not as close to Mick and family. Our childhood years in Gunthorpe though would always stay with us and the caring friendliness of the Piggott family will always be with me. Mick was also a member of our Shelbourn family and we played and worked together as we grew up. They were years of idyllic country and village life with lasting friendships that can sometimes only be achieved in our youth. My memories of Mick and the rest of the family are of the fondest and will stay with me forever.
