2 years today Pete. It feels like yesterday but in another way it feels like forever. Every morning I wake and first thing I see is your picture and the last thing I see at night. Your pillow is still wearing your t shirt what I wouldn’t give to hear you snore again. Deighton and Sam are still struggling I think they always will. Joseph has missed out on having you in his life but he will always know everything about you. You would love him he’s a miniature Sam he is amazing Pete. Deighton talks about you everyday without fail. It’s because of him I can’t give up I go through the motions everyday and will keep doing that. Because I have to. The television programme about you has not aired yet. I’m dreading it because that’s like the final piece but you are always there everyday and that won’t change. Until we meet again watch over us Pete love you so very much xx

Brilliant send off for Pete he'll be missed by many and truck shows won't be the same without your entrainment and jokes. But now its time for you to head to the big truck stop in the sky.

We laid you to rest yesterday Pete. The turnout was a reflection of how well loved you were. You would of been so proud of sam. He held it together and stayed calm and I was just so proud of him. I had support and got through it. Paula and Tony and especially Simone got me through. Jo and Stu were my rocks. Sean Wayne and your workmates were amazing and did you proud You were on my shoulder saying you can do this jo and then stay calm jo. And I did. I’m not sure what to do now it’s like this is life now and I need to adjust. Again your on my shpulder Rest in peace now. We will take care of each other and Deighton. Stay on my shoulder Pete. Love and miss you so much. Till we meet again I will get through but the hole you have left in us will never be filled ❤️

Iv visited this page so many times since it was put up and even now I’m not sure what I should be writing. The last two weeks still don’t seem real, it’s something you read about in the paper, something that happens to other people yet here we are.
You are my mums baby brother, you are my dads best friend and as me, tam and Matt were growing up you were the big brother we didn’t have. You spent most of our childhood living with us. You would get us in trouble, you would cause arguments between us for your own amusement. I lost count of the amount of times we got into trouble because we were encouraging you to do wheelies up and down the duel carriageway for our entertainment when in fact it was your idea. Even though you were 23year older than me we probably shared the same mental age back then. You never grew up and because of that you gave us some amazing childhood memories that I will forever treasure. The reality is that your the link that got my mum and dad together. Without you I may never have been here and for that I will be forever grateful.
It seems such a long time since we last saw you and as much as we missed you it didn’t matter because we knew at some point you would come walking through the door just like you always did asking who was brewing up and saying how busy you had been. Knowing that is no longer a possibility is what hurts the most. I’m not sure what happens now or where you are but if there is something beyond where we are now I hope your with nana and grandad. Give them the biggest squeeze and make sure they know just how much we all miss them.

See ya later Pete.

Peter in 1967 when mam and dad brought you home from hospital I fell in love.
When you were 8 you first started to show your interest in cars and started helping dad and our uncles with fixing them, by the time you were 10 you were driving them around the yard. You were our mams baby, you were a lovely but very mischivous boy that was spoilt rotten.
You were the youngest of 4 children. At 16 dad bought you your first motorbike and at 18 he gave you some money for your first car, you choose a green Vauxhall Viva, you only bought it because it had gold sprayed revolution wheels. The first time you went out in it Paul went with you and the brakes failed. Paul pulled the handbrake and it came off it in his hand. It turned out to be a very expensive set of wheels.
You never grew up and even earned the name paperami with your work mates after the advert because you were always running around like a crazy man. You were one in a million, they will never be another pater.
The Wednesday night I got the dreaded call wrenched my heart out of my chest and tore it into a million pieces and it will never be whole again.

I love you Peter and you will always live on in my heart.
R.I.P baby brother.
