In loving memory of Malcolm Robert Galletly who sadly passed away on 1st January 2022, aged 49 years.

Malcolm fought hard to not be defined by his brain tumor. He was not one to complain, he only made fun of it. I think many will be surprised he was fighting since 2007 because he never let it show.

He was the most loving, caring, funny and supportive husband, father and friend. His family always came first and would he be there anytime anyone needed him. Malcolm was happiest when his family was happy. He never asked for anything, well other than time with family/friends and having a nap in his hammock listening to Jimmy Buffet.

Malcolm was born on March 3, 1972 at All Saints Hospital in Chatham, England to Valerie and Malcolm Sr. and brother Ian.

Malcolm started his working career in the mountains of Northern Wales as a guide/climber. He then took his journey to the USA where he worked at an adventure program working with children. Returning to England, Malcolm went to college to become a quantity survey, a career he enjoyed for 20 years.

In his free time Malcolm loved spending time with his family outdoors on walks in the local parks, seaside visits to sail/windsurf or play with his boys. He loved taking his dogs walking, loved fixing up their home. He always had a project in hand and he loved time with his closest friends.

Malcolm passed away at home peacefully with his family around him. He is survived by his wife Rhonda, and sons Andrew and Joshua.

Donations in Malcolm's memory would be gratefully received for 'The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice' and may be made online via the link on this page.

What a beautiful, funny, kind soul. Summertime was the best time, it meant that Malcolm and I would have water fighters over the fence when he worked at the video shop next to my house. He took me under his wing, shared music, film and video games, he listened when I'd had a bad day. he didn't have to do any of that, but he did because that was him. A wonderful human being with a huge heart and a funny mouth. He's always been an inspiration and role model. Love love to you Rhonda, Andrew and Joshua.

Hello neighbour, we'll miss your sense of humour and smile. Your strength and positivity in the face of adversity is an inspiration to us all. Loved you to bits! As long as the shed you built us is standing, then we'll remember you. After that we'll remember someone else!
