So sad to hear Val had passed away, While growing up I always admired her for her big heart and would take no nonsence. A proper Mam. So glad I got to see her recently having not seen her in ages. Old basford has lost a real diamond. God bless you Val.

You were an amazing woman in every way, a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Your personality shone making you stand head and shoulders above all others. You have left a wonderful legacy in us all and our lives have been enriched immensely by having you be part of them. Love you always Mam, your light will continue to shine brightly through us all xx
