Daudie,
You were such a constant in our lives; through the ups and downs. From never missing a birthday, to making an amazing key lime pie.
We will miss you.
Love, Adam, Vicky, Emily & Jack.

To Grandma,

We could write a thousand pages, but we all know you wouldn’t want that, so we’ll try and keep this brief;

Thank you for making us better people, thank you for our dad, and thank you for giving us memories we will cherish forever.

We will always remember the Lego, the backyard swing, the Easter egg hunts and your extensive VHS/DVD collection. We also remember the beautiful trips and holidays, from our Bates motel stay in Florida to trawling the markets of Marbella for Sophie’s must-have skirt.

We continue to joke about how none of us will will ever be able to re-create your cooking: however we know the secret ingredient is just add salt. Your cooking was a homage to how much you valued family and the empty plates were ours to show how much we valued you.

Grandma- you are irreplaceable, and your passing leaves us without the voice of reason we’ve always had. It’s hard to put into words our loss; we’ll never hear your cackle again, your self-deprecating humour, and most importantly your ability to put our absurdity into perspective.

For each of us there is that grandma moment. The moment when we were made better because you was there. On reading fellow messages and seeing the outpour of love it seems like there are a lot of people who have shared similar moments. It has been humbling to read the many roles Grandma adopted in her life, as wife, mother, sister, nurse and true friend. We are so proud to have had Audrey as our loving grandmother.

We will always love you,

Your Grandchildren

Our wonderful Mum, Audrey. We could not have wished for a more loving mother and Mother in Law. Family to her was everything. She was always there for us her grandchildren and her friends. She was so full of love life, laughter and life. She was a one off who made a difference. She would not want us to be sad at her passing but want us to remember all the good times and smile at the memories.
Miss you and love you Mum

Audrey was a very giving, upbeat person. In all the years l knew her, which is pretty much all my life, l don’t think I ever saw her in anything other than a jolly mood. She impacted many peoples lives. The work she did as a nurse, and her night hours over many years as a Samaritan, show the person she was. Concerned about other people. Always outgoing, never insular. Always willing to give of herself with sensible, practical, advice. I am so pleased I saw Audrey recently after some time. It was a happy and enjoyable day, with Audrey on good form as always. That is how I will remember her.
