In loving memory of Shirley Bennett who sadly passed away on 2nd November 2021
Shirley was born in London, but lived most of her life in Leigh on sea, near Southend. She joined the Catholic Church and at one time was contemplating entering holy orders. However she decided on a career in music, and became a professional violinist. She was also a talented artist, using oils and watercolours and her paintings of flowers were particularly beautiful.
