You delivered all my children. I trusted you completely. You were my dads best friend and a very valued confidante to him and mum. So sorry Val for this great loss. I only heard today.

I only just heard the sad news of Mr Thomlinson's passing. I was a shy young secretary and he and his obstetric secretary were supportive and always thanked me for my work. A very hardworking man, passionate about the service and to this day within the team I manage I still find myself thinking of his words on the importance of effective communication in the NHS as it makes a huge difference. Glad he had a long and happy retirement and spent his time well. RIP

RIP to a simply fabulous and the Best consultant or medical doctor I ever had the pleasure of meeting. You saw me through my baby loss and then delivered my three future children by C-Section. On top of being a wonderful doctor. I found John to be the most pleasant and polite person in the entire hospital at that time (the 90's) I have only just found out about his passing and it is really sad news However, those that met him will always remember him with kindness
