In loving memory of Sheila Dorothy Thacker who sadly passed away on 17th August 2021

So where to start our nan was born on the 31st of january 1935. As a little girl in her teen years she worked on the guns at the kursal in southend on sea.
She met and later married her husband James robert thacker on her birthday in 1953. Not long after followed the births of her 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. She travelled the world with her husband and children all over including, Australia, Tunisia, tenerife, south Africa.
As many know the loss of her husband james took a massive toll on her. She missed him dearly from the day god called him home.
The last place our nan called home she had spent 17 years their at riveria drive, pembridge court in southend on sea.
As many are aware she was an absolute fighter, the strength in her amazed alot of people as she has always been so strong.
She had a stroke 4 years ago and defeated the odds and came back even more fiery.
Sadly the last 6 months of her life she became poorly with falls and aches and pains. On the 23rd of May nan had a fall followed by another less then two weeks later.
Sadly come June we was given the terrible news that she had stage v1 cancer in her right lung and it was metastastic and she had broken her neck and her back alongside other health issues. Even after this she still kept going with every bit of strength she had.
Sadly on the 17th of August after visiting her daily and having meetings with the ccg commissioners alongside palletive care we was given the worse news possible that we were at the end 💔 😢. The lovely Vicor blessed her and shortly after she passed with her radio on and as comfortable as possible she passed at 10.10pm that night.
We are forever proud of how much she fighted and how strong she was!
She will missed more then words could ever describe. And she will be remembered even more!
The amount of people who knew our nan is something truly special where ever she would go people would always remember her for the great character she was.

We all love and miss you loads we will remember you forever nan R.I.P until we meet again ❤😇
