In loving memory of Brian Salt, loving husband to Margaret, older brother to Brenda, beloved dad to Helen and Karen, father in law to Jack and Michael, and adoring grandad to Jacob and Chloe, who sadly passed away on Tuesday 24th August 2021, aged 75 years.

Brian grew up in Tarporley before moving to Derby. He was a lifelong supporter of Crewe Alexandra and also supported Manchester United and local team Gresley Rovers. He had a long and successful career with the Royal Mail, working his way up to being Postcode Manager which he enjoyed very much up to his retirement.

Brian was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.

My dad’s name will be printed on the side of the new lifeboat based at Wells Next To The Sea when it launches in 2022. We have also arranged for a dedication brick to be placed outside the Crewe Alexandra stadium and it should be there in around 10-12 weeks. He didn’t really want any permanent fixtures but I think he’d be ok with us arranging these two. He’ll never miss another Alex game again!

For my lovely brother Brian. We grew up together, played together, laughed together and teased and tormented each other. But always there for each other in good times and in bad. Miss you Bri xxxx Brenda
