STEVENSON DAVID ALLAN Died 28th August 2021. Born in Glasgow and living through Scotland and England before settling in Northern Ireland. Beloved partner of the late Beverly and much loved father of Andrew and Glenn. A firm believer in doing what is right and always ready to help both friends and family in times of need, sharing precious moments and comforting those in need of support. His story was one of trials in which he never faltered against, of love for everyone who stayed by his side, and joy felt making memories with those who got to know him over the years. Funeral Service to be held in his sons' home 43 Highpark Drive on Thursday 9th September at 2pm and afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium for 3.20pm. Will be sadly missed by his loving sons and Joanne, Jordan, Isabella and Ellis.

I've known Allan for the last three years and met him through a mutual friend, John Karonika. I'm an expat who now lives in Houston, Texas. We've never met in person but used to chat online every week or so until his health took a turn for the worse. We often talked about his health and my health, our families and everyday issues, not to mention his love of Scotland and its independence from England. Now me being English, I know it surprised him when I said I agree, made him smile!

We had a mutual interest in Liverpool FC and Glasgow Rangers and he loved the Houston Astro's. We even boasted to each other about the club jerseys, awards, caps & trinkets that we have bought & collected from our favorite clubs, plus my Houston Kopites newsletter and supporters group meet-ups at my local pub.

Allan was, to use a Scouse term 'Sound As a Pound.' I'm going to miss those chat sessions, he was a good mate.

Rest in Peace Allan, you and Beverley are together again.

Alan

Allan is one of those people that when you meet them you know you'll be great friends, caring, compassionate, honest and very funny. We used to memorize parts of comedy shows to outdo each other. We also banter a lot as he supports Rangers and I do Celtic, so imagine all the grief I'd get, specially since Stevie G took charge, but we both love the Reds of Liverpool so we had some happy days following them. We were friends for many years and through good times and not so good times we kept in contact supporting each other, so I am heartbroken that he's not longer with us, the only consolation is that now he's reunited with his beloved wife so he'd be happy. My heart and thoughts are with his sons whom he adored, and all the rest of his family, specially his grandkids, I know they are little but I hope they know what a wonderful man their grandfather is.
Rest in Power dear Jock and shine on you crazy diamond ❤ YNWA

My name is John Karonika. I live near Industry, Texas, about 75 miles WNW of Houston, Texas. Allan Stevenson was a dear friend of mine.

I met Allan on an internet computer tech site. We were exchanging information about some kind of computer problem. That was about 20-25 years ago. Back then there were no video chat programs. Technology progressed and eventually Skype came along and it became our standard chat medium.

We had regular Saturday 10-4 chats for many, many years: 10pm Belfast time, 4pm Texas time. What did we talk about for hours? Allan described it as like being in a pub talking to each other across a table -- minus the beer. Mostly we talked about computer things, local things, Liverpool FC, Houston Astros, and personal things. And Allan and I became good friends.

It is sad to know that it has all come to an end. I shall miss Allan and all those weekly chats. He was a wonderful friend.

Rest in peace, Allan. I'll never forget you. God Bless.

John

I didn't know Allan in real life but I knew him through Twitter and then Facebook. We 'met' many years ago through our love of football and I lived local to his mum so we had common ground. I lost my mum to Ovarian cancer in May and even when Allan was at his lowest with his illness he was a great deal of support to me. I will never forget him nor his kindness and compassion for me. He was an amazing man and I'm so sorry that his beautiful family has lost him. I know he was very proud of you all and doted on his lovely grandchildren. Thinking of you all. Louise.
