In loving memory of June Hardy who sadly passed away on 15th August 2021. The dearly loved wife of Sam Hardy, dear mum of Jan and the late Graham and treasured sister of Les.
June Williams was born on 18th January 1932 in Lancashire, the fifth child to William and Frances Williams having 3 brothers Stan, Les and Cliff and an elder sister Evelyn. Mum's childhood was spent in Armthorpe Doncaster. She left school at 14 and worked at Crompton Parkinsons and electrical lighting firm. She married Sam Hardy on 16th August 1958 at Armthorpe Church and had celebrated their silver, ruby Golden and Diamond wedding anniversaries she died one day before their 63rd anniversary. June and Sam lived in Malta for the first year of their married life as Sam was in the Royal Air Force. when they came back to England they returned to Doncaster, where they lived for all their married life. Mum's main job was working at Chequer Road, Clinic. June loved animals, she had 4 Yorkshire terriers over a period of 55 years. For the last 3 years of her life she lived at Rose House Residential Care Home, where she was wonderfully cared for by the staff who work so hard and have had exceptional challenges to cope with during the Covid Pandemic. We give thanks for a life well lived in service of others, a wonderful, wife, mum, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
