Sending condolences to Rachel’s family and friends. It was such a shock to hear of her death at such a young age and after she had fought so hard to recover from her SCAD. On behalf of Beat SCAD, I’d like to thank everyone who has donated in Rachel’s memory. Please rest assured we will use the money to support the research and raise awareness of SCAD.

Sent with such happy memories of a crazy, feisty, fun, glorious friend and colleague who made me laugh at Shelter every day - will never forget a (v) late night not so sober McDonald’s, putting the world to rights. Many thanks Andy for the pre-holiday patience! Wishing you, Andy and Romilly much love and happiness and hope that in reading these messages Romilly knows just what an impact Rachel had on the world xxxx

Thank you again for all your kind donations to SCAD. Whilst reading through the messages I do wonder how our daughter managed to work at all!! Although from a very early age sleep did get in the way of having fun. Thanks especially to her partners in crime, Emma Booth, Katy Vans, Perks, Caroline, Andrea and Haylar I hold you responsible for enjoying life to the full and hope you all carry on misbehaving!! Mo and Ian xx

Rachel had a nickname for me which I cannot repeat here.
But we had a lot of raucous fun together.
The last time we saw each other she sang a naughty song and we gossiped in the toilets.
I’m very sad that I won’t see her again.
I’m so very sorry that she is gone. Sending my love to Andy and Romilly and to all of Rachel’s family x

Dearest Rachel, you made me howl with laughter everyday (even when we were meant to be working). You are an incredible force of nature. Funny with a razor sharp wit and a Joie de vie that was always infectious. I loved our time at the Red Cross and being part of the south east London ‘fierce charity ladies’ club with Caroline, and spending time with our lovely hubbies Andy and Dazza. I miss you so much. I hope that where you have laid your hat there is a Whistles, plenty of prosecco and some posh nosh. Love always, Andrea and Darren xx

We were relatively new to Rachel's life. But we absolutely loved the person she was. Her wicked sense of humour and her zest for life. We absolutely loved spending time with such a lovely family. I know Rachel will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Me and my family will certainly miss her. Our thoughts are with all your family x

Thank you to everyone who have sent a message, lit a candle and generously donated to SCAD (spontaneous coronary artery dissection), your words have been a great comfort to Ian and I during this awful time. Rachel would have been proud that she's managed to raise over £1000 for this charity into the research for this untimely disease.

In loving memory of "Tatchel Thomas". You leave us with so many fond memories from the early days of baby-sitting you (honest), to a fantastic wedding in a snowbound "London Town" also including everything in-between and since. Your enthusiasm, zest for life and legacy will live on through Romilly.

I only met Rachel a couple of times, but I feel I knew her well by chatting with Anne. Her family and close friends will miss this brave lady who faced the daily challenges of modern living following her brain injury with determination and a smile.
Rest at peace now Rachel
