In loving memory of Lawrence 'Laurie' Horace Green who sadly passed away on 20th July 2021.
Dad was born 25th December, 1926. He spent his early years in Westcliff and was educated at Westcliff High.
From the early days Dad loved the sea and spent many happy times in the creeks of Great Wakering. In the middle of WWII Dad joined the Royal Navy. After being demobbed in 1946 he joined the family firm. Later in the 50's Mum and Dad moved to South Wimbledon and ran a pup. After two years they returned to the area and Dad founded Boatacs Yacht Chandlers, a business that was dear to his heart. In the mid 60's with his good friend Dr Geoffrey Bond purchased an Elizabethan 23 yacht, which they kept and loved for over 40 years enjoying the sailing on the East Coast.
Dad was a lifelong supporter of the RNLI and any contribution will be greatly appreciated to remember his passing.
