In loving memory of Zlatko Curcic who sadly passed away on 1st July 2021.

Zlatko was well looked after by the local hospitals and medical teams and we are therefore asking for any donations in Zlatko's memory to go to The Nottingham Hospitals Charities.

It was a privilege and an honour to know you. I remember the conversations we had about Bosnia, my memories of my children's father being there with UN forces and your memories from another perspective. We recall us having a few tears together. How proud you were of your family, such love for them all.

Our condolences to Zak's family. He was a lovely man and it was a pleasure to work with Zak when he was head chef at Cavendish hall. When my son Jack worked in Cavendish Zak took him under his wing and gave him lots of support and sound advice.

Such a sad loss. I had the privilege to work with Zak in Lincoln Hall at the University of Nottingham and hold many fond memories of such a true gentleman who lit up the work place. Always supportive, always put his team first.

Dear Zlatko, I've known you since I can think. We grew up together. You were like an older brother to me. During the school days you read a lot of books and you shared your enthusiasm for many books with me, so that I had to read them too to be able to keep up with you, e.g. Robinson Crusoe was such a book.
You stood by my side even in difficult moments and always believed in me.
You were warm and attentive.
My dear friend, thank you for everything and rest in peace.
Dragi Zlatko, znali smo se od rođenja odrastajući zajedno. Bio si mi kao stariji brat, dijeleći sa mnom , ne samo školsku klupu, susjedstvo i ogradu, gdje smo se kao klinci igrali, nego i knjige , koje si rado čitao i neumorno dijelio sa mnom . Morao sam ih brzo čitati, da bih bio u korak s tobom. Jedna od tih knjiga bila je Robinson Crusoe. Imao sam i ja svoje teške trenutke, gdje si ti bio moja podrška. Bio sam sretan, jer sam te imao i u dobrim i u lošim trenutcima. Znao sam, vjerujući u mene,da mi možeš biti samo podrška. I bilo je tako. Ne želim nikada zaboraviti tvoju srdačnost i pažnju, koju si tako nesebično sa svima dijelio. Hvala ti za te djeliće ovozemaljskog života, koji su nam pomogli , da izrastemo u dobre ljude i velike prijatelje. Dragi prijatelju, počivaj u miru Božijem, tužan sam jer nisi više s nama, ali ipak miran, jer znam, srest ćemo opet na jednom mnogo boljem mjestu.

Very devastated by the sad news of Zak. He was a wonderful gentleman and colleague. As my line manager, he was very hardworking and caring who motivated us to do our job better. Words are not enough to express how sad I am at the moment. I can't imagine resuming back to work without Zak.

I am absolutely gutted to hear this news. Zak was a pleasure to work with and he always made going to work better. A lovely genuine man, he will always hold a special place in my heart and I will miss him so so Much. My thoughts go out to his wife, family and friends through this difficult time. There is something powerful in good people, they are strong even after death. They still live by their words and deeds, and most of all by the goodness of heart." So were you, dear friend. Always accommodating, kind, ready to help, and that’s what you and your family have shown, welcoming my daughter Sara in September 2020 in Nottingham. Then you told me "And somehow, the world is a little weird, imagine 35 years ago me and you in G.Brišnik, and next Sunday I will meet your child for the first time here in the UK." Even though you are not with us anymore, I hope that the friendship will remain among our children. Everything we went through in childhood lasts forever in my memory. The Ćurčić family.
