In loving memory of Alan Thomas Tompkins.

Our dear dad passed away suddenly on Friday 18th June, he was 82 years old.

Dad didn't really look his age, in fact he sometimes got asked to confirm his age as he looked too young to have a bus pass! Dad loved that and was always reminding us of it....

He loved going to club Sunday lunchtime for a couple of pints with his mates, where they would put the world to rights, or to Warren Wood Social Club with Gary, his son-in-law.

Mum and Dad would often go to Maidstone once a week, and after mum died, Dad still did go to Maidstone or down town, even if it was just to get a coffee, the papers and then back home.

Dad loved talking about his Merchant Navy days and even though we had heard the stores before, we always acted like we hadn't.

We have so many previous memories that will live on in us forever.

The funeral is taking place 11am at Medway Crematorium, afterwards we are going to Warren Wood Social Club, Rochester, ME1 2XA
