If I had to choose one sentence to sum you up, it would be "You were a true gentleman."
I am so proud to have had you as my Pap. You always led by example to us, loved and encouraged everyone of us. We were lucky to have you around for as long as we did and our happy treasured memories are a comfort. Your send off typified the kind of man you were, so many people from different circles of your life, holding special memories and saying such kind words about you. Your independence was so strong during your life, it was an honour to be one of those privileged to deliver you at the last.
Your long wait to be with Nan has come to an end and we can watch you together sailing through the stars and you can look down on us knowing that you have left huge warmth in all of our hearts.

Dearest Pap, I cannot begin to convey how much I will miss you. Being together with you every Tuesday was so precious. I loved our chats, heated debates, giving you the Spanish inquisition & discussing my training plan each week. You always listened to me, gave me advice but always allowed me to be my crazy self. I will continue to make you proud by training hard, gaining those medals that I loved to show you & trying not to misbehave too much. Thank you for treating me as one of your own it meant so much. God bless you.

We remember all the good times we had on the boat Don, especially the holiday we all had on the Middle Levels, pulling our boats through the Duck weed.
We will always remember your smiling face, and how you and Kitty were always ready to help us.

Pap it is hard to believe that you are not here anymore. I have so many memories of us all boating and you and nan looking after me and my sister most school holidays. You made Paul feel very welcome in the family and he has got many stories that you have told him regarding your football past. Lewis and Holly loved coming to see you each week and play with the toys that I once played with. You will be missed but never forgotten by all of us. Rest in peace with nan x

I have so many amazing memories of you and Auntie Kitty and all your lovely family. The best holidays were always spent with you and our adventures on the Radbrook ! Oh how we laughed at the Blue Bird hire boats as they bumped through the locks ! I remember crying with laughter as Auntie Kitty did the splits stepping on the boat as we set off . We stopped at every Boat Club on route and you had so many friends pleased to see wherever you went. You were a fun and happy Uncle and I was lucky to have you x x x

Having spent my whole life with you in it, it is pretty impossible to imagine you no longer being 'there'. So many, many memories -Fruit Picking, boating, cricket matches, and many school holidays being spent with you and Aunt Kitty. Warren Road WAS Northampton in my mind as a child and I treasure every single memory. You will never be far from my thoughts; love, always Bianca x

will never forget the time on the boat when we went out on the wash in a force nine gale thought the fishermen were waving to be friendly, till you realised they were telling us it was too dangerous to proceed. all three boats turned round crockery flying everywhere, but you brought us home safetly, you have always been like a father to me and looked after me and our family
