In loving memory of Charles Frederick "Charlie" Sivier who sadly passed away on 28th May 2021.
Charlie was first and foremost a family man. He adored his wife Rita and three daughters; Julie, Lynda, and Marie.
Charlie had a difficult childhood, where supporting his mum Amy with his younger brothers and sister often took priority over attending school.
Charlie did his national service in Cyprus and when he returned made a career as a coach builder for various employers but primarily at Eastleigh railway.
Rita and Charlie moved into their beautiful bungalow in 1959 where they have lived ever since. He added extensions and bathrooms but always perfecting their home for his family.
Charlie started his own business (Solent Body Builders) with three colleagues when they were all made redundant, and this business is still going and in the hands of the third generation of one of the partners.
Charlie suffered with ill health mainly arthritis throughout his life, but this never stopped him. Charlie could do anything from; fixing their cars, mending numerous necklaces or shoes, upholstering furniture, first aid, the list goes on and on!
Who was Charlie Sivier? He was the kindest, most generous man who loved his family with a passion!
