Denis William Cavill, of Bridgwater, passed away peacefully at Musgrove Park Hospital on Saturday 29th May 2021, aged 94 years.
A beloved father to Julia, father-in-law to Richard, and grandfather to Jessica and Stephanie, he will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral service to take place on Monday 21st June at St Mary’s Church, Bridgwater at 12 noon.
To ensure we keep within the Government’s social distancing guidelines, Denis’s family will be extending formal verbal invitations for the attendees inside the church and names will be checked off on entry. Others who wish to pay their respects on the day can still do so by social distancing in the churchyard where a PA system will be installed. After the service, all will be welcome to make their way over to the Carnival Statue on Cornhill for a Bridgwater Carnival farewell to Denis.
Donations in lieu of flowers in Denis’s memory for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and The British Heart Foundation can be left at the church, or can be given here, or by sending them to the funeral directors at Robson and Stephens Funeral Services, 60 Clare Street, Bridgwater, TA6 3EN.

Denis you were a wonderful friend to us and you are so sadly missed
We always enjoyed you telling us all about the old days, about your love for your family and your lovely granddaughters journey through life. You were a proud man and we enjoyed those stories so very much. We will treaure those memories.
