Jane was born in Lyme Regis, Dorset, to parents Jim and Ann Tasker, and had one brother John.

She was ideally suited to her profession as a nurse and was accomplished in many specialities, particularly enjoying midwifery.

During WWII, two young boys were evacuated from Kent and went stay with the Taskers. One of those boys was Keith Williams and the other was his older brother Alan. Even after the war the families remained close friends and the boys even referred to Jane's parents as uncle and aunt.

In 1967, the friendship between Jane and Keith developed into a romantic relationship and in 1969 they were married. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage, sharing many common interests, including cricket, bowls and a passion for travelling the world together.

Jane was a very special person. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Keith, their extended families and very many friends.

You will be missed, Auntie Jane. Always on the dance floor at family events, either dancing with Keith or another favourite dance partner - my Husband Sam. Here she is dancing with him on our wedding day (Sam just out of shot!) Love you Auntie Jane xxxx

Jane was, without doubt, one of the kindest people I ever met. We enjoyed a great working relationship at Sutton Valence Surgery with lots of laughs along the way. I feel privileged to have known her and I am proud to have called her a friend.
