In loving memory of our lovely Mum, Mother-in-Law, Nanny, Great Nanny, Sister Aunty, Cousin and friend Patricia Ann Fernyhough. Mum died peacefully at her home, as she wished with her three daughters present.
Pat was born, youngest daughter of Mary and Bill Brett on February 20, 1940. She grew up in the East End of London and went to school at the Ursuline Convent in Forest Gate.
From a young age her passion was Roller Skating and it is here that she met both her husbands. This passion continued until late in her life. Over the last few years her memory has failed her somewhat, but she was always able to remember everything about the rinks she'd skated at, the people she became friends with, judges, pupils the lot.
Only a couple of weeks ago she asked if we would take her to Roller City, bearing in mind she was unable to walk unaided, she believed that with a pair of skates on she would be fine. Bless her.
She has lived in many places but home for the last 20 odd years has been Hadleigh. Always willing to lend a hand, to help where she was needed. Caring for folk that lived in her road, but also caring greatly for her children and grandchildren. Her big capacity was to love unconditionally, and this she did in abundance to us, her family.
She will be missed more than she will ever know. She was one of a kind. Our Mum.

Pat taking care of me as a child. Now at 73 I’m no longer a child but probably need looking after! Such happy memories of years gone by 😥

Our Nanny Fred. Always in our hearts.
I got the pleasure of becoming part of Pats life in 2015. She welcomed me into her home and her heart. I have lots of happy memories being with her at her house and chatting over a cup of tea. She gave the best cuddles too!
With 2 of her great Grandchildren who adored her as much as the rest of us ❤️
Not a very clear but pictures speak a 1000 words and this one shows how much love Nanny had to give. We always had such a giggle together and I have some wonderful memories that I will treasure forever. I love you Nan xxx
