In loving memory of Jill Pickford who sadly passed away on 14th April 2021.
On Thursday, 20th May, we will be celebrating the wonderful life of Jill at Leigh Road Baptist Church. The Service will be held at 10.15 and will be followed by a family only cremation. There will be a wake from 11.30 at Charlotte’s house at 140, Bishopsteignton, SS3 8BQ.
You will be aware that restrictions on numbers are still in place and we are in the invidious position of having to decide who can attend and who cannot. Currently we are only allowed a maximum of thirty people in the Church but the latest information from the Government suggest that might increase from 17th May. The new maximum number is dependant on numbers allowed by the Church.
We are also only allowed thirty people in an outdoor setting for a buffet after the funeral.
You are invited to both the Church Service and the wake. Because of pressure on numbers I must ask for responses to say whether you will be able to attend or not. This will allow places to be re-allocated in the event that you cannot attend.
Once numbers permitted in the Church are known I shall be writing to other friends on the alternative list to invite them to join us.
We shall be live streaming the Service to allow those who are unable to attend in the Church to join us on line. I shall send out those details nearer the time.
Finally, it is our wish that there will only be close family flowers. Instead, should anyone wish to make a donation to remember Jill, we would recommend Cancer Research UK and donations can be made by following the links to this document.

In loving memory of my younger cousin, Jill: she always liked to emphasize the “younger” bit.
I miss her regular emails in which her love for and delight in all things related to family,
home and garden were so clearly evident.
Often her messages attached photos of the grandchildren having fun
and of her ever more elaborate birthday cakes.
