On 6th April 2021, in hospital, of Dewsbury, formerly of Thornhill, aged 84 years, Joan, devoted wife of the late Ronald, loving and much loved mum of Ian and Dawn, very dear mother in law of Angela and Scott, beloved grandma of Rachael, Phillip, Fay and Joanna, fondly remembered by Chris, Aimee, Ben and Jack and precious great grandma of Ella, Harry, Layla and Erin.
Following the current guidelines a service by invitation only will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Friday 23rd April 2021, at 10.30am.
For all those unable to attend the funeral service you are welcome to attend 38 Ennerdale Road, Dewsbury at 10am as Joan leaves for her final journey. The service is also available to watch live online via the following login details:

Joan and I were close friends for over 50 years. We worked together, had children together and shared many happy hours together. Visiting Dewsbury market every Wednesday was a must - happy days. She was my best friend.
I will miss her so much. Rest in peace my love.

It was so sad to hear the news of Joan who was like a big sister to me that i never had. We had a lot of good times together the best was when we used to get lions pastils looked to see who got the most of one colour then shared them. I just wish we could just have 5 more minutes together for our last hug. Love you lovely lady from Franny RiP we will meet one day.

So sad to hear of Joan's passing especially under these unprecedented times. I have a lot of fond memories of Joan and grew up calling her aunty Joan. She certainly treat us as family members as she did with my own mother Francis. Without doubt one of the most caring warm hearted women I have ever met and such a loss to her family and everyone privileged enough to have known her. RIP Aunty Joan x
