In loving memory of our mother, Doris Audrey Hall, who sadly passed away on 11th March 2021, known as Audrey to her friends, and fondly known as Auntie Aud to her nieces and nephew.

She was married to Stanley (Stan) Hall, who passed away in 2001, for 34 years was Mother to her son Karl, daughter Elizabeth, Grandmother to Matthew, Carly, Nicola and David. She loved her home and her family and always took great interest in what we were all doing.

Being brought up on the farms of Lincolnshire mother was a country girl at heart and never lost touch with her roots with her love of nature. She took great pride in her beautiful garden often pottering in spite of increasing frailty especially in the last 3 months. Standing at the kitchen window or sitting out on a garden chair enjoying watching the birds flitting to an fro on the bird table as she sat in the sun with a coffee and biscuit and chatting with her family and friends was one of her great pleasures.

Living a very full and active life with, a reputation amongst her neighbours for never being home, she enjoyed getting out and about whenever possible, rarely being put of by any weather conditions!

Over the last year due to the Covid restrictions and increasing health issues, her activities were restricted so it was very difficult for her to get out as much as she would have likes but we managed some visits to the garden centres, when restrictions were briefly lifted, last August and September, where she chose some pansies that are now flowering in the back garden, and where we stopped for a rest over a coffee and a tea cake.

We would like to thank all of her friends and family who have kept in touch with letters, visits and phone calls and kept an eye on mother over the years, especially as she became more frail in the last year. She really appreciated everything your company, chats and visits and everything you all did for her.

Unfortunately, Due to the current Covid 19 situation and restrictions that only allow 30 people at the funeral, we hope you will understand that numbers of mourners are by invitation only.

Sending flowers is entirely personal choice. As as our families have been touched by both cancer and Alzheimer's disease over the years, any donations donations to Marie Curie or Alzheimer's Society may be made on the 'just giving' section of this page.

Thank you all for your support at this sad time.

Thinking about Audrey, my cousin, I recall holidays at Cox's Walk Farm in the 50s and 60s, and more recent visits Audrey made to Dorset with my sister Pam. I recall her deliberate, considered tone and ready humour. She was always a joy to be with. I'm sad it's all ended. You'll miss her greatly and I send you my love and best wishes. Mike.
