Andrew Charles Sharman (18 Nov 1950 - 4 Mar 2021)

In loving memory of Andrew Charles Sharman who sadly passed away on 4th March 2021

A wonderful husband father grandad brother father in law brother in law uncle and friend. Andy had such a fulfilling active life until being diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2017. It is a progressive and terminal lung disease that leads to scarring of the lungs reducing their elasticity. Andy was on 24 hour oxygen for the past 6 months of his life and unable to do much but sit in a chair or lay in bed as any movement left him gasping for breath. He never complained he never had self pity and was always as positive as he could be. He was a true warrior in every sense of the word. He leaves behind Anne his wife of 48 years his sons Chris and Alex granddaughter Evie who was the apple of his eye. He adored her and she would make him so happy right to the end. His sister Janice and so many lovely relatives and friends. He lived every day as best he could right until the end. He will be so sadly missed. We have chosen to give to the 3 Charities that helped us so much with Andy's condition and are so grateful for their part in our difficult journey. The Breathe Arts Research donation is the charity that Andy's singing group works through and the video that Andy took part in recently was made by them.
