In loving memory of Bishop Hylton Walters who sadly passed away on 30th June 2015.

Bishop Hylton Walters was a humble and immensely proud man who after giving himself to God when he was 21, had a purpose in his life. He was on a mission to share Gods love and holy spirit with the members of his community.

Bishop Walters was also a family man who oversaw with great pride, 4 generations in his role as Father to Cassandra, Grandad to Shylow & Kyrece and Great Grandad to Ranell. This is the first part of Bishop Walters wonderful legacy's to the world. Bishop Walters first wife very sadly died young following illness and his second wife passed away in 2009 in Jamaica.

Born in Clarendon, Jamaica in 1931, Bishop Walters spent his early years studying hard and working on a farm. At the age of 21 Bishop Walters travelled to England to start a new life and despite facing many problems he found work and set up home. He knew he had a mission to complete and he devoted his life to establishing his own church where he could lead his flock in worship and offer spiritual guidance and support to all. Over the years Bishop Walters shared many memorable moments with people he remained close to up until his death.

Bishop Walters worked hard for many years as a metal polisher until he retired in 1993 when Pammock Industries closed. On his retirement, Bishop Walters returned to Jamaica where he lived in Spanish Town before returning to England in 2010 to be with his family.

Bishop Walters achieved his mission for God when he opened the Resurrected Church of God, Mount Zion. The church on Thurlow St. in Rushholme is still there and serves as part 2 of Bishop Walters wonderful legacy to the world.

With his amazing knowledge of the scriptures, his passionate and deeply spiritual sermons, Bishop Walters was a very well respected man of God who preached across the country to countless congregations of adoring worshippers. He also loved listening to other Pastors as they preached and he admired their devotion to God and love for the Holy Spirit

Bishop Walters will be missed by many but his legacies will live on as his family and his church continue into the future.
