Joy Wilkinson was my "Auntie Joy". I remember her from my childhood as always kind, and as a calming influence on whatever was happening around her. I can still hear her voice and I fondly remember a few very particular things she said to me 50 years ago. When I saw her over the last few years, I began to realise that she was not only kind but deeply perceptive. I wish I had known her better. I am sorry for the loss and pain all of her her family are feeling now.

I've known Joy for many years through our church, Sutton Coldfield Methodist, South Parade. I'll always have happy memories of her - she was a warm, friendly and caring lady with a lovely smile who enjoyed a chat. She loved people. May she rest in peace with her Lord.
