In loving memory of John Lennon who sadly passed away on 8th February 2021.

John was born in Kettering on 13th April 1953 the youngest of 4 siblings.

He always talked of a passion for horses from an early age and was involved with pony club and hunting.

Eventing was his passion and always talked of being long listed for the Olympics. He was proud of his considerable achievements in this field but also competed in point to points, dressage, show jumping and showing successfully.

He also taught many others to ride and developed long lasting friendships through his love for horses.

He worked hard throughout his life in many different jobs.

He met and started a relationship with Anthony in 1997 and they moved to Flore together in 2003. horses still played a major part of his life and enjoyed showing hacks followed by breeding for many years.

Their son James arrived in 2009 and John was always proud of his achievements. This followed an appearance on the Channel 4 documentary 'Find me a Family.' John was always particularly proud of James' equestrian successes.

Dogs also formed a huge part of John's life particularly Penny who went everywhere with him. He enjoyed walking all of his dogs every day.

John was a huge character and always had time to help others and told his many stories.

John, what huge fun we all had, particularly showing our hacks together, and sitting on the ramp with picnics, not to mention you managing to show ‘delinquent’ Dave in hand for me with huge success! Fleur and I will miss you so much, and send huge hugs to Anthony and James during this very hard time.

I miss you every day and wish you were still here to make me laugh and feel better. But I now have Tara who we chose together just a few days before you suddenly left. You will never be forgotten as thoughts of you will always make me smile. And every time Tara is naughty I will think of you. Love always Biddy, Jas, Mae and Fin xxxxxxxxx

I considered John my best friend from the moment we met in the white hart and bonded over his dogs lady and penny, to meeting him every day to sort out the horses and put the world to rights drinking tea in his kitchen.I will miss the long gossiping rides to the Foresters arms via the White hart! And his wicked sense of humour and ready smile always willing to help anyone a truly lovely human being who will be deeply missed
