Carole was a dear friend at Sussex University. Sadly we lost touch in recent years but I'll always have lovely memories of her great sense of fun and enjoyment of life.

I knew Carole as a colleague in the Office rather than a close friend. My abiding memory is that she was always happy and cheerful. Reading the tributes to Carole I wish I had known her better.
