Colm,
Distance and life made it hard to keep in touch the way we wanted to. Time flies, and after a few unanswered messages, I find myself writing to you here.
So many good memories, so many laughs, and so many times you unexpectedly fell asleep. From our time in Durham, the Bayonne Ferias, our visits in London, and of course your beautiful wedding. I’ll always be thankful for the way you welcomed me and looked after me in this country that i love. In fact, it was just your way of doing things, with fun and kindness.
Today, years after your passing, I’ve lost a great friend and I know now that I’ll miss you forever.
See you up there, mate.
Much love to Roz, Orla, and Johnny. You will always be welcome in our home here in the Basque Country.
