Trevor Malcom Byrd, 53, of Hackney, London, sadly passed away peacefully at Homerton Hospital on Friday 22nd January 2021. He is survived by his parents, Muriel and Conrad; his beloved son, Karim and Karim’s mother Cynthia. He also leaves behind his sisters Jacqui, Michelle, Dawn, Kelly and Natalie and his brother Robert. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom mourn his loss.

Trevor attended Upton House Secondary School and later worked as a printer at Williams Lea. He was an avid football fan and a lifelong Arsenal supporter. He lived his life through simple pleasures; socialising with his friends, watching movies and listening to music; however, his real passion in life, was his family. He was a devoted father who spent many hours in the company of his son. He was funny, kind, loving and loyal.
The funeral service will be held at Manor Park Chapel at 2pm on Friday 26th February. Due to Covid restrictions, this will be a closed funeral for a small gathering of family and friends. Only 30 people can attend the graveside and only 20 will be allowed at the chapel service. Instead of sending flowers, we will be collecting charitable donations for Homerton Hospital, as a tribute to all the care and kindness shown to Trevor and his family during his final weeks.

In loving memory, rest in blesséd peace.

REMEMBER ME
To the living, I am gone,
To the sorrowful, I will never return,
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So, as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,
Remember me.
Remember me in your heart:
Your thoughts, and your memories,
Of the times we loved,
The times we cried,
The times we fought,
The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.

GOD SAW YOU
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me".
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
