In loving memory of Mary Gardner who sadly passed away on 11th January 2021
I think everyone has their own memories of my mum. She was kind, funny, strong, courageous, stoic and loving. She could also stop you dead with a raise of an eyebrow!
Mum loved her family. John of whom she was married to for 58 years and was the love of her life. Johnny, Andy and Shaun, her boys. And then there was me, Claire. Her only daughter. She was a great support to all of us over our lives. Travelling to Australia in Shaun's time of need, visiting Ness and the kids, Richie, Jason and Summer every week when Andrew died. She was always there. When Chris had his accident she came up the hospital every day for 7 months so I could have a break. I know life was never easy for mum but she remained unfailing in her care for those she loved.
When Dad died, mum didn't give up, instead created a new life, moving home and making new friends. Mum was like by all who knew her. She was constant in her temperament, you knew where you stood with her..
In her last few years she relied more on me for support but this drew us closer. We had many laughs along the way. Wheelies on her scooter, taking out a security guard at Waitrose and redesigning Sainsburys cafe is forever ingrained in my memory.

Thanks to all of Mums friends and family for their kind words. Makes the sadness ease slightly knowing how much she was loved and cared about. Special mention to my little Sis who has been a rock throughout this difficult period of our lives 😘. Miss you Mum and pray that you will be watching over us always, Love Shaun XxX

My darling Mum, words cannot express the gratitude I have in my heart, for everything you did for me. I will miss you so much. I wasn't ready to say goodbye Mum, we planned to go places with you giving me grey hairs on that blasted scooter.
Give my love to Dad and the boys, I know you was ready and you went with my blessing but my heart aches with sadness.
I love you always
Claire
