Today was the funeral of one of the most impressive men I've ever met. It was an honour to be present and celebrate his life and memory. Madeleine, Liz and Kate you did him proud.
He was my "Dad" for 23 years. I learnt more about life, humanity, beer, cars and DIY than I've learnt from any other human being! I'll never forget the impact he has had on my life. To the best father, husband, grandparent, father-in-law and friend anybody could ever wish for... RIP. You will never be forgotten!!! Xxxx 🍻♥️

I have known the Storeys for many years.I am proud to call them my friends. The head of this family will be truly missed.A perfect family man,A soulmate to Madeleine he truly adored her and always spoke of her with much love.kate and Liz were so lucky to have a dad who fully supported them in everything they did, spent so much time together and was a doting father.
Jack ,Nancy,Gracie and Rose had a Pappa so young at heart, funny, generous and great fun.The photos say it all!
I have fond memories as a teenager,he always made us welcome when we were a bit drunk or raided the drink cabinet or fridge!Recently
Bill has taught me some DIY tricks made me laugh and cry with emotion and I miss him.
I am honoured I was able to support him recently and really get to know him.
This family is so full of love and his legacy will continue.
My heart goes out to you all.xxx

We all have such fond memories of Bill from our childhood. He had a knack for putting everyone at ease - even an awkward child who was too shy to talk to most adults! Rest in peace, Uncle Bill. Much love,
Gemma, Gavin & Jonathon xxx

It was lovely to have known such a nice man who was adored so much by his family. Bill was always happy for a smiley chit chat whenever I descended on the Storey social gatherings! RIP Bill. Fond memories xx

Bill was a real gentleman and multi talented. I have all the pictures that he framed for me hanging in my lounge. He was a talented pianist but very humble. His kindness, generosity and warmth were second to none and I remember how encouraging he was to me in my early career. I also remember him driving Cantabile Singers to choir of the year in a hired van ! Happy memories and I send my love and condolences to Madeleine, Kate and Liz .

We have such happy memories of our good neighbour Bill, whether hearing Bill and Madeliene playing with grandchildren in the garden or the happy smile and willingness to pass the time of day. Bill was somehow always there whatever one might ask. He gave sound advice on DIY projects and lent tools to help. I remember many years ago now Bill said to me when our children were young - 'enjoy the time with them as they grow up fast and families are a gift that is precious and to be enjoyed.
Our street has been lit up by the joy and kindness that Bill and Madeliene and their growing families gave us. What I remember most is the laughter and as Sue said - a real gentleman in Bill. Happy memories to be treasured.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing you Bill, but I do know your beautiful daughter, Liz... and although our acquaintance is only relatively recent, we seem to share a great deal. She’s a very special person and so very proud of her wonderful Dad. You leave a fantastic legacy in her and in Kate. Rest well now x
