I have just learned of Bootys passing. It’s completely shocked me to the core. It had been a while since I last saw Booty properly, but every time I had seen him over the many years it was always an absolute pleasure.
Charming, funny, witty, dark but always with an undercurrent of warmth and goodness.
Can’t quite believe I will never get to see the man again. My heart and love goes out to his family and friends.
The great Hunter S Thompson once wrote:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow!“
I think we can all agree Chris did that.

We are having a farewell send off for Chris on 18th September if a goes well with the covid vaccine, you are very welcome to attend if you want, it will be at Saint Mary's catholic club in Cannock Staffordshire. Rest easy, Chris. Words seem futile. I hope you knew how important you were to just about everyone in your life, I’m thankful for our friendship despite it being a short one. I’m sorry our plans never came to fruition and that we didn’t get a chance to spend some time together after you left London - I’ll regret it forever. X

Just so heartbroken to hear this news. Chris was always so kind and fun to talk to. I'll never forget him sharing how he committed to growing his beard for an entire year as he was still peeved about not winning the company "best facial hair" superlative at the prior offsite, only to get to the next one and the prior winner had shaved (Jon Cook). Chris will be missed by all that knew him and my condolences to the Boot family. May Chris be at peace.
