Funeral Director
Hi All.
As you know our Son, Brother, Husband, Father and Grandad passed away on the 12th December 2020. He died at home and is now in peace and is painfree.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions we know that not everyone that would like to pay their wishes will be able to do so in person. To help those leave messages of condolence and share memories please use this page to do so. Please feel free to share all memories (the small memories, the recent ones, the ones when John was young or old, the silly ones and 'you had to be there.....' ones) as you can as during this awful time as we want to remember John with a huge smile!
It was John's wish, and also ours, for anyone wishing to do so; to donate to Cancer Research UK in his memory in order to help fund the ongoing fight to beat Cancer. Cancer now impacts one in two people and took John from us long before his time. Please use the attached link to contribute if you can. Alternatively, if you are attending John's funeral service (Due to COVID-19 limits on capacity only those contacted will be able to attend) you can leave a donation at a collection point following John's service.
Thank you
Wendy, Dan, Matt, Pat & Ken, Linda & Sharon

Our Son John, he always hated getting dressed up. Here he is in smart clothes for a family wedding - look at that bow tie! Taken far too soon; forever in our hearts and thoughts. So many memeories; our wonderful son. Much love Mum and Dad xxx

Our John: A good boy, a gentle giant, fiercely independent. Worked hard & asked for nothing. We were so proud of his achievements & his family. Just as we thought he was going to slow down. We are devastated & broken hearted. Always in our hearts M&D xxx

M&D drove us all the way to Spain! John was feted by all the waiters - his white blond hair was so unusual in those days. He was given lots of chocolate and I'm pleased to say he shared his haul with me. So many memories......

Brother John, looking after me. ❤ So many shared memories.
My everlasting memory when we were kids was my poor Mum always seeking to get a 'nice' photo of us all. John was generally always pulling a face or crossing his eyes. Every photo opportunity was met with Mum shouting "John, stop pulling faces!" ❤
More memories from Matt's wewdding day. Sorry it's sideways!
Happy memories from Matt's wedding day.
Me and my lil bro (1965?) having fun on our lilo. We had lots of holiday adventures including the camping holiday where John rolled out of the tent during the night and in the morning we found him sound asleep at the foot of a slope surrounded by sheep.
