Elizabeth Mary Gillon (27 Aug 1934 - 19 Nov 2020)

In loving memory of Elizabeth Mary Gillon who sadly passed away on 19th November 2020.

Elizabeth lived her whole life in the Chalke Valley, moving from Broadchalke to Jasmine Bungalow in Bowerchalke upon marrying her beloved John in 1959. She remained at the same address in her beloved valley until a few months before her death, when failing health led her to move to a care home in Westbury.

She was the much-loved mother of David and Christopher, and adored "Nanny" to her granddaughter Holly. Elizabeth worked at the village shop for a number of years, and in later life was a familiar figure collecting for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Elizabeth always worked hard to care for her family, and had a ready smile even when times were difficult. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
