I got to know Jane when I worked with her on the Doncaster Local Plan.
She was professional, dedicated, self-deprecating, supportive, funny, kind and selfless.
Jane was a fantastic team leader and you just knew that she cared deeply about her colleagues. She was pretty ace really.

I was shocked to hear the news of Jane's passing. She was a wonderful colleague who always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with Dave & the rest of her extended family at this sad time.

I shall find it difficult to to think of Doncaster's Local Plan without thinking of Jane. She was the perfect example of someone dedicated to a cause - talented, diligent and dedicated to the end; a lawyer's dream client. If someone had told me 3 years ago we would become friends who would share tears of joy and frustration together through a Local Plan process and personal circumstances, I wouldn't have believed it. Jane brought huge energy and passion to her work and the team, not to mention a great sense of humour and immense kindness. Working with Jane almost every day for 2 years it became apparent to me early on that all around her held her in high regard, and justly so. I will miss her sage advice and friendship but her influence will live on at the Council for many years to come. My thoughts are with Jane's family at this most difficult of times, but especially with Dave today.
