Really shocked to hear the sad news about Redders, not only a brilliant footballer, outstanding Police officer but a lovely person also . God bless and rest easy mate.

Think of you often. You were such a great support to us. Will always remember NYE In Milan and the reassurance and comfort you gave us. So so sad to not have had the chance to see you again. Sleep well.

So so sad to hear this news today, there has never been a nicer man on our Derby Police Force. He would have done anything for anyone, was friends with the dodgeiest criminals but he got the information he wanted. Was a brilliant friend to many, including my mum who worked on the bus station at Poyntons. Love to his family who have been left behind, proud to have known you Dave Redfern rest in peace my love x

Redders always had my back playing for Derby boys and Kestrels. A man who could always be relied upon to be there when you needed him. Sorely missed at such a young age. RIP.
